Chitemere
Terms
Last changed 29 September 2026
Using the Chitemere app means agreeing to what follows. It is short, and it says what we owe you as much as what you owe us.
Who you are dealing with
The app is run by Chitemere Group, in Zimbabwe. Each order is with the store you place it at: Chitemere Mart, Beverages or Eats. Motors, Fresh and Wireless deal with you on their own terms, shown on their pages.
Your account
One account signs you in across Chitemere. Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your account we will treat as done by you. If you think somebody else has it, change it at once and tell us.
We can close an account used to defraud a store, to abuse staff, or to place orders nobody means to collect. That is the whole list.
Placing an order
Sending an order is asking the store for those things. It becomes a deal when the store confirms it, not the moment you press the button: until then the store may be out of something, or a price may have moved.
Nothing in the app takes money automatically. You pay the store when the order is confirmed or when you collect it.
Prices
Prices are the store’s own and can move with supply. If a price is plainly wrong, a decimal in the wrong place or something far below cost, the store will tell you and cancel rather than hold you to it or quietly charge more.
Table bookings
A booking at Eats is a request until the kitchen confirms it by email. Nothing is charged for a booking.
What we ask of you
- Give details that are true, especially the ones we need to reach you.
- Do not try to break, scrape, overload or get around the app or the stores’ websites.
- Do not order in someone else’s name, or use a store to launder anything.
- Treat the people on the other end of your messages like people.
The app itself
The app, its words, pictures and code belong to Chitemere. Updates arrive by themselves or as a new download, and some features may change or go.
We keep the app and the stores running as best we can, but they may be unavailable at times, for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
When something goes wrong
If a store gets an order wrong, it puts the order right, as its own website’s returns page sets out. We do not accept liability for knock-on losses we could not have foreseen; our responsibility is the value of what you ordered.
Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be signed away.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe deal with any dispute under them.
Changes
We may revise these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and carrying on using the app after that is how you accept the new version.
